Family Services of the Mohawk Valley, Inc. established in 1912, provides a broad variety of professional counseling, case management. school based social work programs, and related services to individuals, families, couples, children and seniors throughout Oneida and Herkimer County.

Family Services of the Mohawk Valley strengthens family life through advocacy, education, prevention, counseling and a diverse variety of quality human service programs in the home, school and community.

Services are provided in the communities through home visits, at school sites, and at our sites in Utica, Rome and Herkimer

Funding for these essential services comes from a variety of sources, including United Way of the Vally and Greater Utica Area, United Way of Rome and Western Oneida County, Oneida and Herkimer Counties, school districts, Utica College, client fees, third-party payments, and contributions.  The Agency's 2008 budget of $2.1 million is comprised of 85% public funding and 15% from the private sector.
